Liwa Excellence Scholarship
For students demonstrating strong academic performance, integrity, and sustained effort across subjects.
Additional expectations
- Academic average of 94% or higher
- Consistently high engagement in learning
- Strong teacher recommendations
Liwa AI & Innovation Fellowship
For students showing interest or achievement in AI, technology, innovation, or digital creativity.
Additional expectations
- Submission of a short innovation project or concept proposal
- Evidence of creative or ethical use of technology
- Participation in interviews with the Scholarship Committee
Liwa Future Leaders Scholarship
For students demonstrating leadership potential, communication skills, and service to others.
Additional expectations
- Evidence of leadership roles (school, community, or extracurricular)
- Application essay focused on impact and contribution
- Participation in interviews with the Scholarship Committee
Liwa Sports Excellence Scholarship
For students demonstrating strong sports performance, discipline, and commitment.
Additional expectations
- Evidence of Proven achievement in at least one sport
- Strong record of sportsmanship, discipline, and attendance.
- Recommendation from the PE Department/Coach
- Participation in trials/assessment

Academic Eligibility
- Entry to Grades 10, 11, or 12 at Liwa International School for Girls
- Minimum 92% academic average, or MAP results at or above the 75th percentile in Reading and Mathematics
- Demonstrated progress in English and Mathematics across the two most recent reporting cycles
Attendance & Conduct
- Minimum 96% attendance
- No record of serious disciplinary incidents in the most recent academic year
- A positive reference confirming respectful behaviour, responsibility, and cooperation
Engagement & Potential
- Evidence of participation in extracurricular, leadership, innovation, or community activities
- A personal statement (300–400 words) demonstrating commitment, curiosity, creativity, and leadership

Any student entering or currently enrolled in Grades 10–12 at Liwa International School for Girls who meets the eligibility criteria may apply, including both current LISG students and new applicants.
No. While strong academic performance is essential, character, engagement, leadership, creativity, and contribution are equally important and form a key part of the selection process.
Yes. Both existing LISG students and new applicants are eligible to apply.
As this is a pilot programme, the number of awards will be limited. Final decisions will be based on application quality, alignment with scholarship criteria, and cohort balance.
The scholarship provides partial tuition fee support. Exact award values are confirmed in individual offer letters.
Scholarships are awarded for one academic year and are reviewed annually based on performance, attendance, and conduct.
Students must continue to meet academic, attendance, and behavior expectations. Scholarships may be reviewed or withdrawn if criteria are not maintained.
Yes, for the AI & Innovation Fellowship and Future Leaders Scholarship, shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview. Some Excellence Scholarship applicants may also be interviewed.
Applications open in January 2026, with offers issued by April 2026 for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Applications are reviewed by the LISG Scholarship Committee, with oversight from a Liwa Education Group Committee to ensure fairness, consistency, and quality.
Yes. Students may indicate more than one scholarship category, but will only receive one award.
